Weekly Newsletter | Issue #6 - 05 Feb, 2025
Greetings from Research Matters!
This week, the world observed International Days of Leprosy and Cancer. Read our story on World Leprosy Day, and for World Cancer Day, read our story on how technology is helping us fight mutations and cancer.
We also have stories on trapping light in an optical cavity to improve OLED TVs and an exciting new discovery of the largest deposit of Lockeia gigantus trace fossils from the Jaisalmer Formation. Our featured story this week is about how natural disasters affect the economy of a state and the steps to remedy them. As India officially announces International Big Cat Alliance last week, check out our infographic on this. Check out our regional section for stories in Indian languages. There are also science & research stories from other media and events happening this week. Don’t forget to check out Scidle - the science wordle, for a new science word every day. If you have events/talks workshops that you would like us to add to the newsletter, please hit us up on any of our social media channels or email.
